The fast fashion industry has a hidden cost—and it's piling up in landfills. Every year, millions of kilos of used clothing, especially polyester-heavy garments, are discarded after just a few wears. These synthetic materials don't break down easily and often go on to pollute our soil and waterways.

When Enviu Textiles began analysing this problem on the ground in India, the post consumer textile waste problem stood out in their report Exploring India's Textile Waste Landscape. Most of this waste comes from urban households, institutions with no proper systems to dispose, collect and segregate them. The waste is polyester-rich, hard to recycle, and not designed for a second life. But ignoring it was no longer an option.

The Good Felt- tacking the problem

Born out of this urgent need, The Good Felt is a venture by Enviu Textiles, for circular innovation that gives old clothes a new purpose. We collect discarded old clothes from households, sort and process them with our waste collection partners across, and The Good Felt turns them into recycled felt—a durable, versatile material used across packaging, acoustic, construction, and automotive industries.

But The Good Felt is more than just a material. It’s a solution that connects environmental action with social impact. Behind every sheet of felt made, is a waste picker whose work is dignified, formalised, and valued. Together, we’re building a system where waste is no longer wasted—it’s a resource for good and old clothes get a second life.

Built for Impact. Tested for Industry.

Circular solutions aren’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why we constantly test and adapt our felt to meet the evolving needs of our partners—from acoustic panel manufacturers to sustainable packaging designers.

Our R&D is powered by field feedback, industry adaptation, and deep collaboration with our industry buyers. Whether it’s strength, density, or finish—we’re innovating every step to ensure The Good Felt meets real-world demands while keeping sustainability at its core.

Why It Matters

The Good Felt is helping to close the loop on fashion waste. Not by upcycling a few items, but by building a scalable model that transforms low-value waste into high-value material—reducing landfill pressure and creating green livelihoods in the process.

If your industry is looking for sustainable alternatives to virgin materials, we’re ready to co-create with you.

Let’s turn waste into worth—together. Explore our products or reach out to our team to partner with us.
